How An Autoresponder Can Triple Your Sales

Imagine this scenario. You sleep soundly and get up refreshed. You grab a cup of coffee, flip on the computer and cheque out your web sites. Sales, sales and more sales...all made while you slept like a baby!

How did this happen? Because of your autoresponder!

If you have no idea what an autoresponder is, let me explain the term. An autoresponder is simply an automated email program that responds [as its' name suggests] to all incoming emails to your web site with a message pre written by you. The message is loaded into the autoresponder and it does the rest.  An email comes in, triggers the autoresponder and it sends out its' message.

Let me explain a few uses for an autoresponders in today's Internet marketing world.

1. You can use your autoresponder to send an immediate acknowledgement to anyone who sends you an email. The autoresponder lets the sender know that you have received their message and when they can expect you to reply. This prevents frustration on the part of your visitors if they are wondering if they are even getting through to you. It may take you a few days to even look at the message received but only you know that.

2. Do you ever get a lot of requests for the same information. A lot of web sites have FAQ documents [Frequently Asked Questions] to answer commonly asked questions about their product or their service. You can do the same and set up your autoresponder to automatically send out an FAQ email in question and answer format if someone sends you a request for info on a particular form on your web site.

3. An autoresponder can aid you building an email list of emails names and addresses. Internet marketers find that lists will lead to repeat sales. You can collect the names and email addresses by using a capture form on your web site that goes to an autoresponder for storage.

4. If you do have an email list you can market yourself to this list by having the autoresponder send out an your article, a newsletter or even a series of lessons at a set time. The autoresponder is programmed with the set piece[s] of information and the time frame to send each and every piece out automatically.

5. You can build that valuable list by offering a free report or a series of lessons in return for the email addresses. The report or lessons are designed to highlight your expertise to your customers and prime your next sale.

6. Are you publishing an Ebook for sale? Why not offer a chapter or a small excerpt through your autoresponder in return for the email addresses? You get the addresses and maybe a sale.

No matter what you send out be sure that you check to make sure your information won't trigger the email spam filters that many people now utilize. In is usually a good idea to remind the person sending you their email that they should set up their spam filter to accept the email address from the autoresponder. It can save a lot of undelivered email. 

Note that research today shows that an autoresponders, when used properly, can increase your contact and exposure to your customers/prospects. You may find your sales rising by 3-4 times.

So why spend all your time collecting and answering your email and requests from customers? Automate it and let your computer do the work. All while you make money online and sleep like a baby.
